There are 30,000 islands in the Stockholm Archipelago. How do you chose ONE island to visit among so many?! After careful research on our dearest internet, we decided to go to Uto described as an island that can be discovered on a bicycle and bicycles can be rented on the island. It sounded perfect for us. Well, we did not have a car to reach the boat. Left early and took bus #1, subway, bus #2, bus #3 and finally got on the ferry at Arsta Havsbad. Needed strong motivation to do this, but as we all know....no pain, no gain or reward. What a day we spent on this island! I will not say more, here are the pictures. Bicycling for 4 hours/30 kms on a clunky bike (no exaggeration here!) was refreshing and simply wonderful, we loved it.
