South Africa (6) - Addo Elephant Park near Port Elizabeth

After visiting the St Lucia area, we continued to drive west towards Addo Elephant Park, located near Port Elizabeth. Unlike in Kruger where we were driven, we decided to drive through Addo Park on our own hoping that the elephants would not decide to play tricks on us :)) We saw many, many elephants and lots of other animals in the park including a few lions. We stayed in two different places just outside the park. One was a tipi surrounded by giraffes, monkeys and besboks. Fun, fun, fun! Here are some pictures.

Addo Elephant Park

What is the first animal you expect to see in an elephant park?
And the answer is......a pumba!!

The only black rhino we saw in South Africa

Poachers, please stop killing the black rhinos!
Asia can live without the products made from their horns

Several nights spent in a tipi - Many animals with us on the property

one is from time to time bound to trip over a trunk"
