And now....PATAGONIA (1) - Puerto Natales and Glaciers Serrano & Balmaceda

We returned the car in Temuco and took the bus from Temuco to Puerto Montt. After one night in Puerto Montt, we flew to Punta Arenas. I will cover Punta Arenas in a later blog. We then went by bus from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales and rented a car to go to the park Torres del Paine still in Chile.
As we arrived in Puerto Natales, we decided to take a boat cruise on a catamaran to explore two glaciers in the area: glacier Srerrano and glacier Balmaceda. We went with Turismo 21 de Mayo. It was a wonderful full day trip.

Arriving in Puerto Natales

Beautiful and comfortable buses to travel through Chile

Good, the dogs are still here to protect us :)) These look awfully sleepy

Walk to Glacier Serrano

I am starting to practice the position that seems to be the favorite to all tourists in the world when taking pictures.....arms up, meaning "We conquered the world - hurrah! As you can see, I am still a little shy, not bringing my arms up to a 45 degree angle....and it is not an arthritis issue :))
On another note, aren't my Peruvian alpaca gloves lo-ve-ly?

Amazing roasted lamb!

This one is different - check the color of his eye!
