Welcome to Brigitte's blog!

Welcome all to my blog! My name is Brigitte. I am 57 year old and just retired from the pharmaceutical industry after working for the last 14 years with Bristol Myers Squibb. When I told my friends I was retiring, they all said " We thought you really liked your job, what happened?". Well, there are many reasons why someone would consider retiring. My main reason was to have enough time to do other exciting activities with my husband Glenn, particularly travel around the world. It took some courage and lots of preparation to get to do it but as I start writing, I am in Norway on my first week of our world tour....well not exactly the first week since we stopped in New Jersey to see Glenn's mom and in France to see my family before flying to Oslo. I have to admit that my new challenge is to find enough "free" time to write my blog! That is the beginning of a busy retired life....:))

My goal with this blog is to share our adventures and discoveries, make YOU travel while sitting at your desk or relaxing in the evening after an exhausting day of work. It is my hope that we can remain connected through this blog. Please write comments, share your own experience, give us tips as we travel through countries you may be familiar with....I truly hope that we will have a great experience together.

Here we go...at the SFO airport with our 20 pounds of luggage on the back qualifying as "hand luggage". Super convenient, no luggage registration even on Ryanair!
